Up to £5,000 Match Funding available for BCP business decarbonisation
We’re excited to share that businesses across Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch can use a grant from BCP Council’s UK Shared Prosperity Fund to buy a new cargo bike, replacing journeys normally made by a motor vehicle. The grant is match-funded between £500 and £5,000, so you can spend up to £10,000 on a new cargo bike, and the grant will pay for half of it.

Why Cargo Bikes?
Stand out from your competitors with a Cargo bike; providing a highly visible, cost-effective, carbon-conscious solution to businesses' transportation and delivery requirements.
✔ Reduce your business' carbon footprint - electric cargo bikes have significantly lower carbon emissions with an estimated 98% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions compared to a diesel van, and 96% less than an electric van
✔ Move things faster - Studies show that ‘Last Mile’ deliveries by electric cargo bike can make deliveries twice as fast as vans in urban areas
✔ Spend less money - When factoring in insurance, maintenance, depreciation, and energy costs, electric cargo bikes cost around one-tenth of the cost of a diesel or electric van to run
✔ Empower more of your workforce - Cargo bikes do not require a license to be ridden; if you can ride a bike, you can ride a cargo bike. We stock brands made to fit a wide range of riders, maximising staff members who will start being able to make the most of your company cargo bike.
